How do you find your candidates?

We use a variety of sources to find candidates for our clients – including, but not limited to; Advertising on a variety of websites, Targeted search / headhunting, Our candidate database, Referrals from clients and other candidates, LinkedIn and other social media.

What is your screening and reference process?

1. All candidate resumes are screened against the criteria you have provided us
2. An initial phone interview is conducted to gain an understanding of the candidate’s background, experience and expectations.
3. A secondary, in depth interview is conducted where the consultant will discuss the client role if applicable in more depth and assess their suitability.
4. The candidates resume is then submitted for consideration accompanied by comments detailing their suitability and an outline of their experience and expectations
5. All candidates are reference checked before offer stage and the reports and referee contact details provided to the client

Do you offer headhunting and retained executive search services?

Yes, absolutely - Hunter Executive Search Consultants are specialists in retained executive search. We have skilled consultants who can identify top talent and provide you with access to passive candidates who are not available via other sources.

Do you offer a guarantee period?

Yes, Hunter Executive Search Consultants offer a 90 day replacement guarantee on permanent contingent recruitment and a full 6 months for retained executive search assignments. In the unlikely event that a candidate does not work out, we will replace them free of charge.

What are your payment terms?

Our standard payment terms for permanent placement are 14 days from the candidate’s commencement date and for contract placements, 7 days from receipt of invoice.

How does a recruitment agency work?

Recruitment agencies are paid by their clients to help them recruit staff when they are either too busy or unable to find the right people themselves. We advertise the position, approach candidates on our database or headhunt to fill the role. We arrange interviews, conduct reference checks and handle offers of employments and salary negotiations. We work in the best interests of both our clients and our candidates to get the best outcome for both.

Do I have to pay you a fee to find me a job?

No, recruitment agencies cannot charge you a fee to find you employment. We are paid by the companies who we recruit for. If you are asked to pay money to a recruitment agency, stop the process and inform the authorities. We always recommend using a consultant who is accredited by the RCSA and holds an Employment agents licence.

How and when can I contact you?

You can contact us any time during business hours. We will always endeavour to take your call and if we are not available we return your messages. If we can’t help you,  we will let you know and try to point you in the right direction of someone who can.

How can I register with you for potential vacancies?

You can register your CV, subscribe to job alerts and also refer a friend to us, if you think they might be suitable for a job. 

Can I fax or post my resume?

No, we need an electronic copy of your resume preferably in Microsoft Word format.

What jobs do you have available right now?

We advertise most of our jobs on our website and other job boards. Please search our jobs to see if there is anything suitable. Please note that we do not advertise 100% of jobs though, so you can always contact us to see if there is anything else available

I don’t want my boss to find out I am looking for work - can you guarantee to be discrete?

Yes, we do not send any of your information anywhere without prior permission and our clients understand that confidentiality is essential.

I am not an Australian citizen or resident – can I still apply for a job?

Yes, but you will need sponsorship on a 457 company sponsorship visa or similar – more information can be found at www.immi.gov.au or by contacting us

What happens after I send you my CV?

Your CV will be reviewed by a specialist consultant and if we have a suitable position available, we will be in touch straight away to discuss it with you in more detail. If we do not have a suitable position, we will keep your CV on file and contact you when one arises. We will never send your CV to any of our clients without your permission.

What will you do with my CV and personal information?

We will keep your CV on file and contact you if we have a suitable position. We will not distribute any of your details to any other 3rd party without your permission. Please see our privacy policy for more details

Where will you send my CV?

We will never send your personal details or CV anywhere without your prior permission.  We will only send your CV to selected clients if there is a suitable position for you or if we think they may be interest in it, but only after we have discussed the companies with you first.
